The Reverend Dr. Anthony G. Dioh is the Vice President for Academic Affairs of the United Methodist University. A 1971 graduate of our Lady of Fatima High School in Harper, Cape Palmas, Dr. Dioh received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theology in 1975 from Cuttington College and Divinity School, now Cuttington University; a Master of Arts degree, Administration and Higher Education from Michigan State University, USA 2004, Dr. Dioh was awarded an honorary Doctor of Divinity degree by the family life Theological Seminary for outstanding service to the church and humanity.

Post Graduate certificates and diplomas:  Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE), Clarian Health Partners, Indiana, USA (2004); Conflict Resolution and Applied International Studies, Caux scholars program. Switzerland; seminar on trauma awareness and recovery (STAR), Mennonite University, Harrisonburg, VA (2003). Substance abuse counseling, AMEZCC/UNICEF war trauma counsellors training program (TOT), LOIC/UNICEF (1993); active non-violence and peace education, WANEP, Ghana, etc.

Academic, Administrative, and Pastoral Experience: Dr. Dioh has nearly fifty (50) years of work experience as a teacher, administrator, and pastor. Before joining the UMU, Dr. Dioh served beyond the local church at Tubman University as Vice President for Student Affairs and Professor of Education. As Pastor, he served many pastorates within the Liberia Annual Conference, including the Mount Scott UMC, Mount Sinai UMC, E Johnathan Goodridge UMC, Tubman UMU, Miller Memorial UMC and founding pastor of the New Georgia UMC, amongst others. He is currently assigned to the Kitty Decker Memorial UMU as a counselling Elder

He has traveled extensively in Africa, Asia, Europe, and the United States of America, representing the church, and speaking about the needs of the church and current situation in Liberia. He is a five-time clergy delegate to the General Conference of the United Methodist University

Dr. Dioh is married to Mrs. Jennifer Geddeh Dioh for nearly forty years together they have four (4) children, several grandchildren and many foster children
